My Lola Moment

My Lola Moment

I feel so old na.. My body is aching and sore from my neck to my foot but this for a great cause. I have to work on it and really see this through.I started a new workout routine today that I have to do for 30 days. They say that Research has proven that it takes 21 days to form a habit. So we will see if after 21 days I have already formed this habit

Another reason na I feel old is seeing Brox’s photo who is now 17. Time flies so fast and he’s an incoming highschool senior and he’s musically inclined which of course he did not get from me. Look how guapo my nephew is which I’m proud to say he got from our side of the family. So proud of him and he even if he’s already 17 I still tell him that I love him and sometimes If I get lucky he posts something on my wall to remind me that he misses me. Can’t wait to see him I can’t wait for Adrianne to see her Kuya Brox again.

A Car Is A No Phone Zone

A Car Is A No Phone Zone
I pledge to make my car a No Phone Zone. Beginning right now, I will do my part to help put an end to distracted driving by committing to drive as responsibly as I can:
Choose one:
I will not text while I am driving

I will not text while driving and will use only handsfree calling if I need to speak
on the phone while I am driving.

I will not text or use my phone while I am driving. If I need to use my phone, I will
pull over to a secure location.

This is really a great advocacy to many accidents happening because of  people using their phones while driving. Interestingly enough our phone is a no phone zone too. We have no landline phones not even a vonage landline phone service

Blazing a Trail With Camp Trailblazer

Blazing a Trail With Camp Trailblazer

Warm temperature, vivid blue skies and heat wave is upon us which tells us that summer is here again.  School is out and summer is in but it doesn’t mean that learning should be put on hold because another school year has ended.  Summer break is a perfect time to provide kids with different kinds of enrichment opportunities to learn new skills, develop creativity, meet new friends and build fun memories.   Read the rest of this entry

A Snoe Dinner

A Snoe Dinner

I was recently invited to attend an intimate event with the owners of Snoe Beauty. Was shocked to be invited as I don’t consider myself as a Beauty Blogger. I was so excited and though I had another event at that same time I decided to forego that other event. I would never have missed this event and I am so glad that I went to this event because I had so much fun who knew that a non beauty blogger like me would have so much fun.  Read the rest of this entry

Adrianne’s Moving Up Day

Adrianne’s Moving Up Day

Finally the day has come and Adrianne has had her moving up day her final one from her current school. I am thankful for Adrianne’s school for their support and encouragement. Philbert wanted Adrianne to stay for another year but I felt it was time for her to move on to big school.

I am so glad that the school had finally chosen  a venue that can fit the parents and the students and the guests and there was enough space. There was a big space and it was not cramped when the students did their presentations for the parents.

They have really helped my daughter come out of her shell with their encouragement and hardwork I owe it all to Teacher Darren, Teacher Michael and Teacher Maila.  These  were her pre-school teachers, her very first mentors whom she obviously loved because she always talked about them at home.  Adrianne is ready to go to Big School, thanks to them!  I’ll be forever grateful for the love they gave her the past two and a half  years because of them.

Two of the Best Online Role-Playing Games

Two of the Best Online Role-Playing Games

Role-playing games (RPGs) tend to include the same formula: Players assume the role of a character, meet non-player characters along the way, fight enemies, explore the landscape and defeat the main villain. Mix in together the popular formula of role-play games with online interaction and individuals get an entertaining mixture of socializing and completing game tasks.

Online role-playing games have been popularized by hit franchises like “World of Warcraft” and “Phantasy Star Online.” While most online RPGs tend to be classified as massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), they blend together the same qualities as a regular RPG game. For students attending graphic design colleges, these games serve as great sources of inspiration for anyone looking to venture into the video game industry.

  • “Star Wars: The Old Republic” – Released earlier in 2012, “Star Wars: The Old Republic,” known simply as “SWTOR,” took individuals back to the “Star Wars” universe. Individuals can pick from a number of character classes, from Jedis, Siths, bounty hunters to even regular troopers. Players progress through a large story, venturing down the path of light or darkness to uncover the evil plots of the main antagonists.
Each character class comes outfitted with his own original combat style, gear and specializations, creating a unique experience for each player. With hundreds of missions to complete, thousands of weapon and styles to pick from, individuals will have plenty of content to enjoy while roaming around the “Star Wars” universe.
  • World of Warcraft – Released in 2004, the computer game has gone to win a number of awards and praises from critiques. With expansion packs released every so often, “World of Warcraft” (“WoW”) continues to add fresh content, character classes and areas of exploration for players.
Set in a mystical realm, individuals will pick a character class and explore different landscapes, earn gold, buy armor and loot new weapons on their quest to stop the evil hands at work. With each new expansion come new weapons, quests and main villains the player must defeat. With so much exploration, expansion and weapons, “WoW” will keep players occupied for quite some time.

Sad

Sad

I just feel so sad for Philbert his heart is still broken (not because of me). I am trying to help him pick up the pieces and move on. He’s trying his best by pretending that the heart breaker is not part of his life which is so sad. I feel sad that it even came to this point even though he’s a grown up. He’s hurting like a little boy and he tells me that Boys Don’t Cry. I don’t agree though we need to cry to let it out crying is healthy.

It still takes a lot for him to reach out to ask for help. Had the words been chosen carefully it wouldn’t even come to this point. It’s been months and he’s still moping and still not over it. I didn’t expect it to be easy but I really hoped that he would have been over it by now.

This part of him that tells me that he needs me to be there for him. No words can ever heal that pain that he’s been carrying with him. He rarely puts his guard down because he hates talking about how he feels. As any typical guy would  but I love him even more for letting me see this other part of him.

Joshwa’s Award

Joshwa’s Award

Today is Joshwa’s recognition day he will be awarded Best in Computer. I am so proud of him though he gets this award every year. To be honest this is something that we  do not to expect. We like surprises of this kind  and what made it special this year was that Joshwa was talking about his award. He was telling his daddy to go to work on Monday(his day off) Joshwa and Daddy will be on Stage on Tuesday. He wants daddy to give him the award isn’t that so sweet. Read the rest of this entry

A Trip To The Uratex Factory

A Trip To The Uratex Factory

Philbert and I were loyal Uratex users for at least 8 years. We left the country and placed the mattress that we had for 3 years and when we came back it was as if we never left. It was still the sturdy mattress that we remember and it was our first major investment as a married couple.  It was great opportunity to be invited to see how this product is made.

Dindo Medina welcomes us to Uratex

Unknown to many Uratex just doesn’t make the mattress they make oam made of polyurethane, fire retardant, reticulated; plastic furniture made of monoblock (chair, table & cabinet); textile made of moquette, jacquard, ticot fabric. Read the rest of this entry

I Want TV

I Want TV

The title reads like a popular tagline doesn’t it? But that’s exactly what I feel right now. As I said in my previous blog post we have finally moved to our new home. One thing that is driving Philbert and I crazy is that we still don’t have cable tv.  The installation is happening on Saturday and I Can’t wait to curl up in front of the TV and watch cable movie channels  and talk about the plot.

The kids are fine with it and it gives us a reason to send them to bed early. After the kids are in bed we make do with a lousy tv connection. We have a wireless booster  but it doesn’t help us at all. Can’t wait til Saturday when Cable guy comes to install.
