Philbert’s New Toy
This is what Philbert received from his brother and he totally loves his new toy. This is a Garmin GPS what exactly is a GPS? GPS means Global Positioning System (GPS) it is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense. GPS was originally intended for military applications, but in the 1980s, the government made the system available for civilian use. GPS works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day. There are no subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS.
I tried to have a bit of fun with it I changed the voices of the navigator and I tried to input our address in Dipolog and one time I typed pool pumps on the search button. Of course Philbert wasn’t amused because he’s scared that I might break it. Men!

Joshwa and Puberty
This is it we are in puberty and this is one crazy rollercoaster ride. Joshwa’s voice is starting to change he is getting taller. This ur foray into what he will be like as a teenager. Lord Help Us!!! Puberty and being a teenager is challenging for any parent. Imagine how challenging this will be if your child has autism. From what I have heard it can cause aggressive behavior and depression.
This is another big transitional hurdle for everyone in the family. This is another thing you don’t read too much about and no one ever talks about. I am prepared to see some regression which is not fun. He is verbal, affable, reads and does he great in school all of which we were told he’d never do.
I still have issues with the words recover and healing from autism.I have issues with words like ‘healed,’ ‘cured,’ ‘recovered.’ I don’t mind those that use them but I don’t use those words. While I’m always thrilled for anyone else’s child’s progress, my son still has autism. And we have adulthood to plan for.

Adee is Going to Big School
The long wait is now over I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and a prayer of thanks. Adee got accepted to the big school of our choice. If you know me and you are my facebook friend then you’ll know what her new school is. Well to say the least it was the only choice. I admit that I knew I would start to panic if she didn’t get the slot.
As early as now we are starting to prepare her by telling her that she will leave her old school behind and will go to a new school. She is now starting to ask me who will bring her to school is it Daddy or Mommy? I told her I’m not yet sure I might learn how to drive so I can bring her and pick her up. Her reply is Mommy, never mind don’t learn because it’s fun to ride a Taxi. (hahaha)

iPhone 4s for Christmas
Recently released iPhone 4s created such a big buzz, not only because it was released a day before the genius behind the Apple success, Steve Jobs, passed on, but also as a lot of gadget enthusiasts were disappointed and were expecting iPhone 5 instead. Although a lot of hoopla surrounded this latest of the iPhone products’ release, this particular gem has numerous noteworthy features and getting one for yourself and your loved ones this Christmas might just be the best idea. Here are a few of the iPhone 4s features you will probably enjoy:
- Have your own virtual assistant with Siri. It does whatever you tell it to do including sending emails and text messages, finding interesting stuffs online and a whole lot more
- With an 8-megapixel resolution and a custom lens with a larger f/2.4 aperture, you can take the best pictures ever with this baby, with possibly the best mobile phone camera yet
- Enjoy the user-friendly and intuitive interface of iOS 5 which is made even better with new features including Twitter integration, photo editing, iMessage and Notification Center
- With the A5 chip, you get twice as much power in web surfing, playing online games or launching apps. Plus you also get an excellent battery efficiency
What’s even better is starting December 16, one of the largest, if not the largest, networks in the country, Globe Telecoms, which have collaborated to bring other Apple products to Filipinos in the past, teamed up with Apple, yet again, to bring iPhone 4s to every household in the country in time for the Christmas celebration.

Gifts
Christmas is coming and I am obviously not done with my shopping. I only got as far as shopping for Adrianne and Joshwa’s classmates and gifts for the teachers and that’s it. I gave Philbert his Christmas gift which is a car charger for Blackberry Charger. I already got his gifts which is a new camera . I told him what I wanted because I didn’t want to venture into the unknown with him as far as gift giving is concerned. He might give me sieves and seriously I wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Pagaspas Lunch
We had Lunch in Resort’s World before Kuya Ariel back to the US. Adee really misses her Ninong and is now asking over and over again when she will go to the US to visit Ninong because she had so much fun with him. To my inlaws thanks so much for loving my kids and being so good to them. Joshwa and Adee really look forward to always going to Jalajala.
