I remember writing a blog post about Kumon here. I was raving about it and I am still raving about it til now. The system really works and I don’t expect the results over night. It’s not something that you can do one summer and then pull your child out after you think you see progress. It’s always a work in progress and goes hand in hand with what your children learn in school. Read the rest of this entry

Update #1 Immuvit MetaFit Challenge
I can’t believe that it has been a week since I said yes to take the Immuvit Challenge. I admit that doing the routine exercise has been a major commitment for me, it is something I have never done before. I followed Coach Jim’s advice to do it in the morning + I don’t even know if I’m doing it right by doing it barefoot. A friend told me to stop doing it because it might cause me more injuries if I do.
Good Qualities of Shell Beads
Someone who has ever found a seashell on a beach will know what a treasure that they have found. Many of the shell beads that are sold are pulled from even deeper in the ocean. Some sea shell beads are big enough to be used as a sea shell pendant. They can also be small enough to be used for stud earrings. They provide a lot of natural beauty in any piece that they are used in. The shell beads can be in many different colors also. Autism Conference
As a parent of a child with Autism this is my advocacy.

A diagnosis of autism does not only affect the person, it affects the entire family, the parents as well as the siblings. The diagnosis of autism poses insurmountable challenges that can make or break this basic social institution, the family.
Feelings of shock, anger, helplessness and incompetence dominate the family; thus they tend to rely heavily on professionals to address the needs of their family member with autism. Families lose confidence to take on their crucial role as the lead in autism management, and instead take on passive roles through years of various interventions and huge expenditures. Waiting and Waiting
I think one of the things that I struggle with is really waiting. I tell Joshwa to wait for his turn when it came to using the computer.I tell Adee to wait til I’m done before we can go out and go to the grocery or before she can show me something.
Like my kids my weakness is also waiting, when I need something done I always have this urgency that it should be done right away. Even if I pray I pray to God to give it to me right away which is not the right way. So I guess I know why some of my urgent prayers are not being answered.
I’m waiting on Philbert to give me the funds I need for Adrianne’s enrollment. He says that it should be with him within this week. Well he said the same thing last week I’m still waiting on it. As much as I want to badger him about it I know I have to wait. Waiting is really the hard part.. While waiting I am now off to the Waltermart to buy something and use their icverify system
Joshwa’s First Trip To Baguio
This was my favorite photo during Joshwa’s first trip to Baguio. When this photo was taken he was 4 years old but he looked small for his age. He also wasn’t as talkative at this age. He looked so cute and so charming and he was really ready to ride the horse. All he needed was the complete equestrian apparel . But the problem was at that time he was too young to ride the horse. We just couldn’t find the perfect horse for him .
Joshwa’s Latest Stim
Let me first explain what A Stim means. Stimming is a repetitive body movement that self-stimulates one or more senses in a regulated manner. Stimming is known in psychiatry as a “stereotypy”, a continuous, purposeless movement.
Stimming is one of the symptoms listed by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders for autism, although it is observed in about 10 percent of young children without autism. Many children with autism do have stims. Common forms of stimming among people with autism include hand flapping, body spinning or rocking, lining up or spinning toys or other objects, echolalia, perseveration, and repeating rote phrases. A Journey to Being Fit with META FIT
I will be the first to admit that I am out of shape well I think that’s fairly obvious when you see me. I am basically a very jolly person but I hate the fat jokes.I don’t want to be this in this body anymore and I can’t just whine or hide behind an excuse. Read the rest of this entry
Pain Pain Go Away
I am in Day 2 of a new fitness program that I started and will be blogging about it soon. In pain is an understatement my arms are sensitive to touch my legs and thigh hurt so bad. I’m having a tough time when it comes to walking and I dread exercising again . I can’t even bend and pick up something without complaining and the worse part Adrianne wants to hug me and cuddle with me but I can’t because it’s just too painful.
I just decided to push myself and exercise despite the pain. When my friend died 2 weeks ago it really scared me. It scared me enough to do my best to do whatever I can to lose weight because I am in my 30′s and I have some health issues. I shouldn’t even have those at my age I need to do something before it’s too late and that’s enough motivation for me.
My Lola Moment
I feel so old na.. My body is aching and sore from my neck to my foot but this for a great cause. I have to work on it and really see this through.I started a new workout routine today that I have to do for 30 days. They say that Research has proven that it takes 21 days to form a habit. So we will see if after 21 days I have already formed this habit
Another reason na I feel old is seeing Brox’s photo who is now 17. Time flies so fast and he’s an incoming highschool senior and he’s musically inclined which of course he did not get from me. Look how guapo my nephew is which I’m proud to say he got from our side of the family. So proud of him and he even if he’s already 17 I still tell him that I love him and sometimes If I get lucky he posts something on my wall to remind me that he misses me. Can’t wait to see him I can’t wait for Adrianne to see her Kuya Brox again.
