Happy Birthday Honey
Every year I struggle when it comes to writing a birthday blog post for Philbert. Di kasi madali talaga mag blog tungkol sa isang tao na mahalaga sa yo. Para bang kung ano yung nararamdaman ko di ko malagay into words yung importance nya sa akin. But I’ll try to do it kasi wala pa akong gift hopefully he’ll like it enough to give me a free pass if not iisip na naman ako nang gift sa kanya.
The Good Son
I am proud to say that Philbert is a good son to his Nanay and Tatay. They may have had their moments but Philbert tries his best to come through.I’d like to think that Philbert stepped up when his sister passed away, Now all talks of migrating, relocating, moving to any country has been shelved indefinitely. He doesn’t want to be too far away from his parents and wants to be reachable in case they need to get in touch with us.
The Good Father and Great Family Man
Philbert is a great dad to Joshwa and Adrianne. He can handle the two kids all by himself which is something that I dread doing .Not always patient but definitely more patient than me sometimes. He always puts the need of the kids first and always making sure that they have everything that they need for school. There was a time that Joshwa’s old yaya asked us for 100 a day for Joshwa and we gave it to her without complaint Philbert sometimes had to save on Gas or scrimp on lunch so we can sustain Joshwa’s allowance. Only to find out that Joshwa barely ate anything in the school canteen and that 60 pesos was enough for one day.
He tries to be there during Joshwa’s recognition awardings both in Easy Math and in School. With Adrianne he is always there for every program and graduation. He tries to relate to them. The kids know that their daddy loves them even during those times that he’s upset with them. One time Adrianne misbehaved and he smacked her bottom once. Adrianne came to me and told me that eventhough Daddy spanked her she knows that he loves her.
A Great Husband
Philbert is a great guy and a great husband he likes to tease me a lot and I mean a lot. Sometimes it annoys me but I let it slide. I know I can depend on him and I’m definitely glad that he is the missing piece. My other half, the one who owns my heart and my everything. Looking back from where we came I’m so proud of him of us of what we had become.
Philbert has this quiet strength and demeanor he doesn’t like to brag but he is good at he what he does and what he tries to do. He is so talented and I sometimes listen to him when he is working at home and trouble shooting when something goes wrong and I secretly cheer for him because I believe that he is great and I am glad that he is in a working environment where he is affirmed and appreciated. I am so happy to be called his wife, his partner, his bestfriend and the mother of this children,
