Forgiveness is where I struggle the most. For some reason I just can’t get past the past hurts. I admire people who can say truly say that they have moved on and have forgiven everyone who has wronged them and with forgiving comes with forgetting.

L. Gregory Jones writes, “Forgiveness works through our ongoing willingness to give up certain claims against one another, to give the truth when we access our relationships with one another, and to give gifts of ourselves by making innovative gestures that offer a future not bound by the past.” People always preach about the virtue of forgiving and when I feel like I’m pushed into doing something I’m not ready to do. I just tell myself that just wait till this happens to you. I doubt if you really know how I feel.
