2 Years
It’s been 2 years since she was taken away from us. I miss her everyday and I think about her all the time.I’m still in Limbo and I still feel numb every time I think about it.. I feel like a huge hole is in my soul and I won’t ever be whole again. I don’t even want to think that she’s gone because I can’t. The Lord knows I love him but I can’t understand why he took my sister and why he wouldn’t give her back before we buried her.
I MISS MY SISTER AND WANT HER BACK. By the way, God made my sister a star in the sky. I know it because such a pure soul would shine light on everyone she meets. Anyway, everyone who reads this needs to know, NO matter how far away you live or how busy you are PLEASE tell the people you love how much you love them as often as you can because every day I’m now reminded I no longer have the pleasure of hearing her voice and her beautiful laugh. I feel sad that Adrianne would never get to meet her and see her. Sad that she would never get to see my daughter grow up.God knows how much I miss her.

RP Addresses the Threat of the Silent Killer of Men
The cancer that kills one man every nineteen minutes worldwide usually shows no early warning signs – until it’s too late.
In the country, Prostate Cancer (PCa) is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among Filipino men. In 2005, the country recorded over 4000 new cases and 2000 deaths in Filipino men caused by this illness. Hollywood actor Dennis Hopper, former senator Raul Roco and the father of television actress Maja Salvador, Rosauro Salvador are just some of the countless men who lost their lives to this killer disease.Alarmed by this threat, Healthway Medical and pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) have joined hands to promote prostate health awareness among Filipino men and battle the increasing cases of PCa. The organizations are staging the country’s biggest drive to conduct Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Tests to give more men an opportunity to take charge of their health. Pearl 101
Known by many romantic names, from “jewels of the sea” to “tears of God”, pearls have been treasured for thousands of years.A pearl is, technically, a nacreous, organic gem formed in the body of a mollusk. It is nacreous because it is made from layers of nacre or Mother-of-Pearl, a nacre made of aragonite crystals composed of calcium and other organic matter that lines the inside of the mollusk. These layers are deposited around a nucleus, which is often a foreign object that is trapped—or in the case of cultured pearls, inserted—in the mollusk’s soft tissue, eventually forming a pearl. It is organic because it is the product of living processes and a living environment, and continues to require constant warmth and contact even after it has been set as jewelry, to keep its surface glow. Pearls are formed in certain species of bivalves or clams—in the case of South Sea pearls, from the noble Pinctada maxima. Read the rest of this entry »

Criticism
I went to an event a few ago to support my friend who joined an online contest . I was surprised to find out that it was a singing contest. All along I thought that the contestants were judged for their video. Lo and behold the contestants were criticized by the judges.I felt really bad for the contestants. It’s not easy to sing infront of strangers and be judged and insulted by people that you don’t know. I guess being criticized is different from being embarrassed on stage.

Kids Grow Up Right At TMC’s
The Medical City’s (TMC) Center for Developmental Pediatrics (CDP) reaffirms TMC’s commitment to the healthy growth and development of children. While there are other similar centers in hospitals around the country, TMC’s CDP is the first to institutionalize standardized developmental screening and detection for children ages 0 to eight years old.
“We believe that early detection is key to the management and treatment of developmental and behavioral conditions in children such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties, and autism, to cite a few,” says Dr. Stella Guerrero-Manalo, head of the CDP. “It is the thrust of our Center to put in place a staging point to address these developmental or behavioral conditions; and offer
comprehensive and coordinated management, counseling, and education to ensure the health of the country’s next generation.”Moreover, the Center brings together some of the country’s finest specialists in child development. Dr. Manalo’s team of developmental pediatricians includes Drs. Jacqueline Navarro, Lourdes Tanchanco, and Ma. Theresa G. Arranz-Lim. Other members of the Center’s staff are allied medical practitioners such as occupational and speech pathologists and special education specialists.
Developmental disorders and behavioral problems are emerging as the new morbidity, reaching epidemic proportions. The availability of trained professionals and quality service can hardly keep up with the demand. To date, there are less than 40 qualified developmental pediatricians in the country to service potentially millions of children at risk. There is an urgent need to make access to services more efficient and streamlined. The Center is TMC’s response to this need, offering services, screening, and consultation to ensure healthy child development.
The Center for Developmental Pediatrics is located on the ground floor, Podium Building, The Medical City. For more information, call 635-6789 local 6630.

Back To School
The kids are going back to school tody. I can’t wait I’m excited.. I look forward to hearing Adee talk about her day and how it went when she goes home later. I look forward to peace and quiet even if its just for 2 hours. I look forward to the time out to work on what I’m supposed to do and to finish what I need to do. Does it make me a bad mom?No! It makes me a better mom because the time alone helps me to focus. When the kids get home from school the ruckus begins. But it’s all good because I still have my quiet time tomorrow and until Friday. The weekends are another story all together.

11 Years Today
11 Years since we started dating and we’ve been together ever since. 11 Years today since we got together as a couple.I can still remember how shy he was and how he endeared himself to me by telling me his corny jokes that only I can appreciate. We’ve been through so much together!
Together we braved the good, the bad, the ugly and sometimes the worse. We shared the best of ourselves and embraced the flaws in each other. I love him for his kindness and sense of humor. His sense of calm and understanding even if it means he has to go out on a limb to do so.
He is my rock and I lean on him for support. Sometimes, I may not understand his decisions but I always submit to him and obey him and in the end he is always right. I love you Honey. I could not have asked for a better husband and the best father to Joshwa and Adrianne. Looking forward to 11 x 11 x 11 years with you..
